Russia-China block train

RZD Logistics has commenced a new block train service between Samara and Beijing, aimed mainly at Russian exports to China

The first departure was recently dispatched from the Besymianka Station in Samara and the next service is planned for February 2018. Transit time is 14 days.

RZD Logistics, an arm of RZD Russian Railways, is cooperating with Kuibyshev Railways, TransContainer, the Samara Region Ministry of Agriculture and Food Products, the Ministry of Economic Development and Chinese rail company Capital Railway Resources, to develop the service.

"There is great interest among Russian and Chinese customers in the service," said Viacheslav Valentik, RZD Logistics' General Director. Having analyzed the Samara Region's product potential, we have began the service from there and we are now looking at developing other routes.

Other parties involved include the Russian Export Center and Freight Village RU terminal (Vorsino, Kaluga Region). Delivery is performed via Dalian and Chengu (via Mongolia).
