On Monday, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras officially opened Posidonia 2018, a biennial shipping event which is one of the longest standing international maritime trade shows.
This year, the event celebrates 50 years since its interception in the late 60’s.
Posidonia 2018 is hosting a record of 2,100 exhibitors from 92 countries and some 22,000 maritime executives from nearly every country of the world.
Thousands of delegates will attend more than 40 conferences, seminars and workshops scheduled to take place at the Athens Metropolitan Expo Posidonia venue during the show.
Inaugurated on June 4, Posidonia 2018 will last until June 8.
