Gazeley are to appeal against the refusal of permission for a 4.5 million sq ft extension to the Magna Park logistics hub, Lutterworth.
In January 2018 Harborough council narrowly over-turned a decision by its planning committee to approve the scheme, throwing Gazeley’s plans into turmoil. Gazeley had been working on an extension onto the Glebe Farm site since 2014.
The decision also endorsed claims that the landscape impact of developing on 570 acres of agricultural land was severe and outweighs the economic benefit.
Now Gazeley has decided to fight back.
“After reviewing our options, we can confirm that Gazeley will appeal the decision made by Harborough District Council on 10th January 2018 regarding our planning application for the expansion of Magna Park Lutterworth," a Gazeley spokesperson said.
