RFID Journal announced today that registration is now open for RFID in Retail and Apparel 2018, the world's only event focused on the use of radio frequency identification technology (RFID) and its many business benefits for retailers and their suppliers. The event, which is free to qualified retailers, will be held on Oct. 3, at the Helen Mills Theater in New York City.
"Retailers are achieving unprecedented benefits from using RFID technology to improve inventory accuracy, enable omnichannel selling, and lay the foundation for true digital transformation," says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "This year's event will feature new case studies and explain how to deploy RFID successfully."
Attendees will get an update on the state of RFID's adoption in retail from Justin Patton, the director of the Auburn University RFID Lab, and Patrick Javick, GS1's senior director of industry development for apparel and general merchandise.
Kristen Munroe, former store operations lead at Ralph Lauren North America, will discuss how retailers should prioritize their RFID applications. She will explain, during a one-on-one interview, how to streamline data and standardize operating practices to pave the way for a successful RFID rollout.
RFD Journal's Mark Roberti will explain how RFID paves the way for true digital transformation and how it meshes with video analytics, artificial intelligence and other technologies to bring brick-and-mortar retailing into the 21st century. "This event is designed to help retailers exploring RFID's potential to understand the business benefits, determine the best approach to using RFID, find the right technology partners and move forward with a successful RFID project," he says.
The exhibit hall will feature the leading RFID solution providers focused on retail, including providers of RFID tags, readers and software. For more information, please visit www.rfidjournalretail.com.
