A 532,000 sq ft speculative warehouse is to be built at Hinckley in the heart of the Golden Triangle.
IM Properties is to speculatively build a new 532,000 sq ft unit at Hinckley Park, adjacent to junction 1 of the M69 motorway.
The announcement comes soon after record take-up figures for East Midlands logistics floorspace. Industrial take-up in the East Midlands reached 4million sq ft in the first half of 2018, very nearly equal to the region's entire take-up in 2017, according to data from Savills.
Hinckley 532 will be built alongside a 318, 254 sq ft unit for DPD, who has already committed to the 82-acre employment park and will create Europe's largest automated parcel depot.
Richard Lawrence, development director for IM Properties said: "The Midlands is a consistent performer as connectivity and the ability to deliver becomes a key differentiator in the rapid growth of the e-commerce industry in particular and operators need to be centrally located.
As part of IM Properties' plans for Hinckley Park, up to 450,000 sq ft is also available to B1 and B2 occupiers seeking design and build solutions, delivered by the company's in-house project delivery teams.
