100% Quality IS possible. Let The Ujigami Guy show you how... http://www.watchover.us Slide 4 - History of Quality: INSPECTION(Part of a slide show series presented to the Detroit Chapter of the American Society of Quality on March 23, 2010)"In the mid-1700s, craftsmen banded together to form guilds to protect the quality of their craft. An aspiring master craftsman would have to pass through the career chain from apprentice to journeyman before he could be elected to become a Master Craftsman. He would then have to produce a sum of money and a masterpiece before he could actually join the guild. If the masterpiece as inspected was not accepted by the masters, he was not allowed to join the guild, possibly remaining a journeyman for the rest of his life.Unfortunately, in our current day of mass produced... well everything... we do not have time for master craftsmen to hand craft and inspect single parts for us.However, at the turn of the last century, the method of confirming quality was inspection. Often 100% inspection to ensure quality. Even when I joined General Motors in 1979, it was normal to have an Inspector as part of each work flow process. This is where the concept of the trade-off between quality and cost originated. Due to the additional manpower to "inspect-in" quality, it always cost money to have quality."(Part of a slide show series presented to the Detroit Chapter of the American Society of Quality on March 23, 2010)-- Tutelar Technologies provides unique Product Directed Manufacturing Systems that ensure 100% Outgoing Quality and Lowest Cost to Manufacture. ---- http://www.watchover.us --
